I used to buy Mrs. Cubbison's Old Fashion Meatloaf Mix at the Wonder Bread/Weber Bread outlet store. However, they seem to have all closed! At least in this area. Does anyone know where I can purchase the mix? If not, can you suggest a meatloaf mix you have tried and like? Thanks in advance.

Is there a Mrs Cubbison's dot com thing going on? I make two recipes for meat loaf; one easy, the other spectacular. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Maynard, I know I shouldn't ask, but what is the difference between your "easy" recipe and your "spectacular" recipe?

I've just never been good at making meatloaf.

My "easy" recipe is out of the Good Housekeeping "New" Cookbook. It's pretty darn good. My "spectacular" meat loaf recipe, I got from the LA Times many years ago. I believe it came from a deli in Studio City, or some such place. (Mustard Seed Cafe ?) It is not that difficult either. There is also an accompanying recipe for mushroom gravy, which is to die for! I believe I have posted the recipe for the latter before. If you can't find it in the archives, I will re-post it for you. But only because you have always been my friend.

Maynard, I know the politically correct thing to do is ask you for the recipes. However, I do not believe in sending a friend on a fool's errand! Any recipe that has bits and pieces of onion and green pepper usually send my stomach in a tale spin. But, I can't thank you enough for the offer.

STOP THE PRESSES!!

I just found out that Mrs. Cubbison's is only about 15 miles "down the street" from me in the City of Commerce. So, I gave them a call.

Found out they only sell this product in the Wonder Bread/Weber Bread outlets, BUT there is such an outlet about 5 miles from me in Whittier!

For back up, if any of you use a meatloaf mix you can recommend, please let me know.
